To those who hate religion: what is wrong with this argument?
I completely accept that religion does stupid things e.g. Catholicism banning condoms, and thus causes a lot of problems, however it can do a lot of good too.
A 2006 UN University study reported that 85% of the world’s wealth is owned by 10% of the world’s population and 50% of the world’s population own 1% of the world’s wealth.
Why don’t the 10% share? Because they crave pleasure too much. They want a fleet of cars, and a yacht and a jet and a mansion and a holiday villa, and a load of servants etc. etc.
With billions suffering from malnutrition, a lack of clean water, preventable disease, poor education facilities etc. it is a real shame the richest 10% aren’t intelligent enough to have adopted the Christian/Buddhist ideals of charity and non-attachment to wealth.

How do you know what the 10% share. Bill Gates has given 30 billion dollars to educational charities. I imagine he is in the 10% wouldn’t you say?
